ActionAid Italia

ActionAid is an independent international organization committed to fighting the causes of world hunger, poverty and social exclusion. For over 40 years we are on the side of the community in the southern hemisphere to ensure their better living conditions and respect for fundamental rights.
ActionAid has its coordination office in South Africa, Johannesburg and national affiliates in North and South.
 
We develop our projects, taking into account the needs and priorities of local communities and promote sustainable development and long-lasting. We are their voice to governments and institutions to ask for a change in the social and economic policies, so that they removed the root causes of poverty. Our fieldwork involves about 15 million people through 800 projects developed in collaboration with 2,000 local organizations in nearly 50 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia.
