SMP CZ, Inc. (part of VINCI)

On January 1, 1953, a Special Plant for engineering constructions made of prestressed concrete was established at np Stavby silnic a železnik Prague. After the reorganization of the company, as plant 2 np Stavby silnic a železnik, it participated in important communication constructions and the development of bridge technologies.

It became independent under the new name Stavby mostů Praha on April 1, 1990, and since May 5, 1992, the company has been a joint-stock company. The first year of the new millennium was also the year when the name of the joint-stock company Stavby mostů Praha was changed to SMP CONSTRUCTION, a.s., as decided by the board of directors.

The name change was not only formal, it was related to the expansion of the range of construction activities carried out by the company.

On August 1, 2005, as part of the squeeze-out (acquisition of 100% ownership by the parent company VINCI), the company SMP CONSTRUCTION, as was dissolved and its assets were taken over by the company SMP CZ, as Currently, according to statistical data, our company is among the fifteen most important construction companies in the Czech Republic. The sole shareholder of SMP CZ, as is the VINCI Group of the Construction division.

The goal of SMP CZ, as was to expand the portfolio of its construction activities by new fields - specifically water management, underground and industrial construction.
