What You’ll Be Doing
Nathan, a Cadmus Company is currently seeking a Logistics & Media Specialist for its Millennium Challenge Corporation-funded Solomon Islands Threshold Program (SITHP) who will gather information and conduct research on select political and economic topics; and provide logistical and operational support for productive program implementation and oversight. This is a part-time position (up to ten days/month).
This project position will be based onsite at the SITHP office in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

Responsibilities
· Gather news articles and provide a round-up of key news items relevant to the Threshold Program to Nathan’s Home Office, with a brief summary of each news article, including both print and digital materials (as some news items are only available via printed newspaper and are not available online)
· Schedule, arrange logistics, and participate in meetings with stakeholders related to the Solomon Islands THP in coordination with the Resident Threshold Director and/or the Nathan team
· Provide the following written materials on a regular basis agreed upon by MCC and Nathan:
o Meeting minutes and briefs
o Weekly reports providing an update on the current political scenario in Solomon Islands, including major newspaper articles and any additional sources not available online
· Work collaboratively with MCC officials and other contractors and consultants that are supporting the Solomon Islands Threshold Program, including implementing partners
· Present findings to MCC officials in person and/or via videoconference, upon request by Nathan or MCC
· Provide other logistical and operational support as requested by MCC related to the oversight of the threshold program
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or relevant field
· Two (2) years of experience in political economy or a relevant field; and logistical and operations support
· Strong communications skills, ability to respond quickly to client requests, and ability to juggle multiple requests at once
· Strong understanding of politics in Solomon Islands and the political process
· Candidates must be based in Solomon Islands and maintain an understanding and awareness of current events in Solomon Islands
· Interpersonal skills to work well with different stakeholders across time zones
· Comfort with technology, including basic MS Office suite and research tools
Prefered Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or relevant field
· Strong research and analysis skills
