Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) - Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu 

The Cadmus Group (Cadmus) is seeking a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for the anticipated USAID-funded Pacific Economic Growth Activity (PEG). This regional project has an expected period of performance of five years and will be implemented in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. The program seeks to advance economic growth, climate resilience, and inclusive development by improving the climate resiliency of local enterprises and infrastructure; supporting local small and medium enterprises to access markets and financing; facilitating greater trade and private investment; and strengthening public financial management and domestic resource mobilization.

 

Position Summary

The DCOP will support the Chief of Party (COP) in day-to-day financial and administrative aspects of the project while ensuring compliance with USAID requirements and regulations and Cadmus policies and procedures. In addition, the DCOP will be responsible for design and management of work plan activities, consultant scopes of work, and other technical deliverables; reporting efforts related to these activities (including inputs for annual work plans); and reporting on performance targets and results as defined in the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) plan.

Qualifications:

 

·       Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; master’s degree preferred.

 

·       10 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: trade facilitation, SME development, access to finance, investment facilitation, or business enabling environment.

 

·       7 years of management experience.

 

·       Experience working on projects or programs funded by USAID or other international development assistance organizations in the Pacific region.

 

·       Prior experience serving as a USAID DCOP or Acting DCOP preferred.

 

This position will be based full-time in Papua New Guinea. It is anticipated that regional travel will be required.
