Description

Chitambo Development Foundation (CHDF) is a registered, non-profit, non-political, and non-religious Zambian organization dedicated to empowering marginalized rural communities through inclusive, community-led development. Operating primarily in Chitambo and Serenje districts, we work across six core thematic areas: Health, Education, Agriculture and Livestock, Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment, Environment and Natural Resource Management, and Tourism and Cultural Development.

Our approach is grassroots-focused, working directly with women, youth, and the elderly to build resilience, promote sustainable practices, and foster dignified living conditions. We are committed to partnership, transparency, and achieving measurable impact in line with local needs and national development goals.

Objectives of the Partnership

CHDF seeks to establish strategic partnerships with international NGOs, donor agencies, foundations, academic institutions, and private sector entities to:

  • 1. Secure grant funding and co-financing for community development projects.
  • 2. Access technical expertise and capacity-building support.
  • 3. Implement joint programs in our core thematic areas.
  • 4. Enhance our project monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks.
  • 5. Foster knowledge exchange and innovation in rural development.
