Description

we are honored to invite you to participate as foundational partners in the creation of the first specialized financial institution dedicated to the Burundian creative economy: the “Banque d’Appui à la Création Musicale au Burundi (BACM).

This initiative seeks to providing financial support and investments to local musicians and producers, enabling them to record and distribute high-quality works on a global scale. By investing in this bank, you are not merely funding art; you are building the infrastructure for a professionalized industry that includes professional recording studios, production equipment, and digital distribution partnerships.

The project offers a unique value proposition based on the following pillars:
1. Economic Empowerment and Job Creation: The bank will stimulate the local economy by creating jobs for sound engineers, producers, and event organizers, while boosting related sectors like tourism and hospitality.
2. Infrastructure Development: Your investment will bridge the gap in critical infrastructure, funding rehearsal spaces and performance venues that currently hinder the growth of the Burundian music industry.
3. Youth Talent Cultivation: With a young population eager for innovation, the bank will provide mentorship, training programs, and grants to help youth build sustainable careers.
4. Cultural Preservation and Innovation: We aim to preserve the rich heritage of traditional Burundian music while fostering contemporary innovation, creating a unique "Burundian Sound" for the international market.

We propose a partnership model where we need expertise in digital streaming distribution and copyright management (in collaboration with the BURUNDI COPYRIGHT OFFICE) can be integrated into the bank’s operations. This synergy will ensure that Burundian artists can effectively monetize their work through royalties, concerts, and licensing agreements, reducing dependence on informal arrangements. Please find attached “The PITCH and EXECUTIVE SUMMARY of the BANQUE D’APPUI A LA CREATION MUSICALE AU BURUNDI (BACM)”

We invite you to a formal presentation to discuss the strategic roadmap, financial projections, and the social impact of this landmark project for the African Great Lakes region.

Many thanks.

Sincerely
