Description
The Ministry of Economy is a body of public administration that develops and implements a long-term strategy and comprehensive programs for the development of the country, carrying out a well-thought-out and balanced socio-economic policy aimed at solving the following important tasks:
ensuring macroeconomic stability, sustainable, balanced and dynamic economic development;
formation of a multistructure and effectively functioning economy, ensuring the leading role of private property, developing market infrastructure;
implementation of targeted structural policies aimed at efficient and rational use of the richest natural and mineral resources, established production and scientific and technical potential, development of export potential and ensuring broad integration of the country's economy into the world economic system;
the creation of new jobs, the solution of the problem of rational employment of labor resources, the strengthening of targeted social protection of the population, ensuring a sustainable, progressive growth in the living standards of the population, the development of social infrastructure;
ensuring proportional and comprehensive development of the economy of the country's regions, optimal and efficient development and deployment of productive forces throughout the country.
The Ministry of Economy implements the tasks assigned to it by developing and ensuring the implementation of short-term and medium-term forecasts of the country's socio-economic development and coordinating the activities of ministries and departments that are part of the General Economic Complex of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
