Description
KfW Development Bank is supporting China, together with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), by financing a programme to reduce emissions in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei provinces. This programme aims at significantly reducing coal consumption, increasing the use of renewable energies and public transport, as well as the creation of alternative jobs. With education and training the workers in heavy industry should get new jobs in case their factories are closed down.
