On July 29, 2016, the Government of Niger signed an agreement with the US Government through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) for the implementation of the Compact.
The Millennium Challenge Corporation is a support fund for countries that demonstrate equitable governance, encourage economic freedom and invest in human development.

The Millennium Challenge Account - Niger is responsible for the implementation of the Compact Program over five (5) years from the date of its entry into force on January 26, 2018.
The various projects contained in the Compact are funded to the tune of 437.024 million US dollars.
The Compact Niger operates in the regions of Dosso, Maradi, Tahoua and Tillabéri.
