The mission of the MUVH, is to set the National Housing Policy and promote Housing Programs, within the framework of macro-economic policies and the National Development Plan that expresses them, tending to meet the demands of housing and housing solutions of the population.
The efforts of the Institution focused on:
Enable access to adequate housing for families of different socio-economic strata of the population, through the implementation of the Community Improvement Programs, Rediscount of Mortgage Credit and the Pilot Project of Housing Cooperatives for Mutual Assistance.
Follow-up and attention to the programs and projects developed in previous administrations, providing personalized attention to the beneficiaries, in order to solve the specific problems of them and their villages.
Manage the loan portfolio of CONAVI and BNV, and implement Laws 1555, 1741, 2637 and complementary laws, which modify the credit conditions of the previous housing programs.
Encourage contacts with national and international organizations to coordinate actions and finance housing projects. Agreements were signed, projects with donation from the Republic of China were implemented, and efforts were reactivated before the IDB with a view to Neighborhood Improvement projects.

Encourage the generation of work sources by distributing the work among public and private sector companies.

Through this value we demonstrate to society and colleagues our cordial and attentive service, with quality, warmth, empathy to the needs of all people, both the citizen who comes in search of a housing solution as well as of all civil servants. The institution demonstrating companionship.
