The attributions of the Minister Delegate to Head of Government in charge of General Affairs and Governance, in accordance with Decree No. 2.13.836 of 9 muharram 1435 (13 November 2013) and Decree No. 2.13.253 of 11 Shahbane 1434 (20 June 2013), enabling it to contribute to the development and monitoring of the implementation of government policy in the areas of governance, economic affairs, and competition and pricing, can be summarized as follows:

develop strategies and programs to establish the rules of governance and improve the business climate, in coordination with the relevant government sectors, institutions and agencies;

implement, in coordination with the sectors and organizations concerned, tools for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of public policies and programs and their degree of complementarity, harmonization and convergence;

propose measures to strengthen integrity, transparency and the fight against corruption in the management of public affairs and contribute to their monitoring and implementation;

monitor the various reports of public control institutions, as well as international institutions and bodies related to the business climate, governance and monitor their implementation;

contribute, in coordination with relevant ministries, to the development of government's economic policies and public programs, and monitor their implementation;

develop and monitor government policy in the area of competition, in coordination with relevant departments and agencies;

to follow the government's policy regarding relations with institutions and international organizations that fall within the remit of the Ministry;

participate in the development of bilateral and multilateral economic and financial cooperation agreements and their negotiating processes;

draft legislative and regulatory texts that fall within the remit of the Ministry and ensure their implementation.

The Ministry delegated to the Head of Government in charge of General Affairs and Governance also exercises the attributions devolved to the head of government on the compensation fund;

The Ministry delegated to the Head of Government in charge of General Affairs and Governance includes, in addition to the cabinet of the Minister, a central administration composed of a General Secretariat and 4 directorates in charge of Governance, Competition and Awards, International Cooperation and Resources, Legal Affairs and Information Systems.
