Ministere de Sante Publique is a government body in Madagascar that is committed to ensuring the physical, mental and social wellbeing of the Malagasy population.
The health system in Madagascar is made up of central offices, regional public health offices at a regional scale, district public health services at the sanitary district level, basic health centres at the commune level and community agents at the Fokontany level. The Ministry works closely with technical and financial partners to enable everyone to live in good health and it promotes the wellbeing of people of all ages. The cooperation between members of the Government in responding to people’s needs is carried out under the slogan – “Unity is strength, a work that cannot be done without mutual consent”. The main objectives of the Ministry are to fight poverty, vulnerability and prejudice as well as to expand access to quality-based social services. It strives to provide access to quality and affordable health care for all levels of society who live in Madagascar.
