The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is an agency within the Federal Ministry of Health in Nigeria that regulates and controls the production, import, export, promotion, distribution, sale and use of food, drugs, cosmetics, medical equipment, chemicals and packaged water.
NAFDAC undertakes appropriate inquiries into the manufacturing facilities and raw materials of these products and is responsible for building a relevant quality assurance system, including certification of the manufacturing sites and regulated products.
