UNCDF has been present in Guinea since 1982, helping the country meet its development challenges by supporting decentralization and efforts to bolster civic participation in public management.
Today, UNCDF offers “last mile” finance models that unlock public and private resources, especially at the domestic level, to reduce poverty and support local economic development.
Through Local Development Finance, UNCDF is implementing Programme de développement local en Guinée (PDLG II) project to supporting decentralization and civic engagement to combat poverty.
UNCDF works to consolidate the decentralization process in Guinea and is recognized as a key technical partner in supporting local communities through the development of tools adapted to the national level and adopted by other stakeholders.
