It is responsible for directing the development and maintenance of public buildings, highways, bridges, airports, and other infrastructure projects; regulating and managing road, rail, air, and maritime transportation in the country; and fostering the growth of broadcasting, postal services, and telecommunications, including encouraging investment and expanding the communication industry.
