The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of United Arab Emirates is a government body that was established in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi, UAE in 1971.
Since its inception, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has represented the components of Emirati society and its window to the other world through which the thoughts and visions of the Emirati leadership are spread, which emphasizes the values of human brotherhood, and always calls for an end to human suffering, regardless of gender or religion, stressing the need to deepen the values of peace and the resolution of disputes by peaceful means and through dialogue. The Ministry, through its various embassies, departments, and diplomatic missions around the world, and through its ambassadors, representatives, and diplomats, constitutes the link between the wise leadership of the UAE and the people of the world. The Ministry works to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between it and the countries of the world at various levels and in the political, economic, and cultural fields. The Ministry’s tasks include planning the foreign policy of the state and supervising its implementation, managing state relations and regulating communications between state ministries, concluding international agreements and treaties, monitoring all diplomatic and consular representatives of the state, and many other activities.
