Irrigation Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Irrigation Department is headed by Secretary, Irrigation who is assisted at Secretariat level by Additional Secretary, Deputy Secretary (Tech) and PMC. In all technical matters the Secretary is assisted by the Planning & Monitoring Cell. Which prepares the draft proposals for Annual Development Program and Public Sector Development Plan. The PMC prepares plans, liaison with Federal Government and Donors Agencies regarding new schemes and also monitor progress of implementation of the existing portfolios. Execution of the water sector schemes and their operation are carried out by attached departments. There are three attached department of Irrigation Department headed by their respective Chief Engineers.
