Zarząd Dróg Powiatowych in Ostróda

The Poviat Roads Authority is an organizational unit of the Ostróda Poviat operating as a budgetary unit.

The District Roads Authority in Ostróda - Object of action:

The subject of the activities of the Poviat Roads Authority is the performance of the duties of the administrator of poviat roads within the meaning of the Act on Public Roads in the scope of:

1) developing draft plans for the development of the road network and providing current information about these plans to the authorities competent to draw up local spatial development plans,
2) developing draft plans for financing the construction , reconstruction, repair, maintenance and protection of roads and road engineering structures,
3) acting as an investor,
4) maintaining the road surface, sidewalks, road engineering structures, traffic safety devices and other road-related devices,
5) performance of tasks in the field of traffic engineering ,
6) preparation of road infrastructure for defense purposes and performance of other tasks for the defense of the country,
7) coordination of works in the right-of-way,
8) issuing permits to occupy the right-of-way and exits from roads, and collecting fees and fines,
9) keeping records of roads, bridge structures, tunnels, culverts and ferries, and making them available to authorized bodies on request,
9a) preparing information on public roads and submitting them to the General Director of National Roads and Motorways,
10) carrying out periodic inspections of the condition of roads and road engineering structures as well as ferry crossings, with particular emphasis on taking into account their impact on the state of road safety,
11) performing intervention works, maintenance and securing works,
12) counteracting damage to roads by their users,
13) counteracting adverse environmental transformations that may arise or arise as a result of road construction or maintenance,
14) introducing restrictions or closing roads and road engineering structures for traffic and designating detours on roads of various categories when there is a direct threat to the safety of people or property,
15) carrying out periodic road traffic measurements,
16) maintaining roadside greenery, including planting and removing trees and shrubs,
17) purchasing real estate for lanes of public roads and managing them within the scope of the right to these real estates,
18) purchasing real estate other than those listed in point 17 for the purposes of road management and managing them within the rights to them.
