World Wild Fund for Nature European Policy Programme (Italy)

WWF's mission is to build a world in which humans live in harmony with nature.
It is an ambitious dream: what does it mean in practice? In such actions results? Economic growth, material, quantity of human populations has a cost for nature and for each of us: human activities have exceeded the load limits of our planet.
It is as if each of us at birth, received the gift of a share of nature: a bit 'of clean air, drinking water, natural resources and places to live.
This share is impoverished nature more and more, in constant decline. If we want a future, we must instead protect it, care for it: to reduce the burden on our natural resources, lighten our "footprint" on the planet.
But on what does the "consumption of nature"? Who is responsible? How can we fix it?
The work program of the WWF tries to give an answer to these questions, marking a change of course towards sustainability.
