Description
The Minister of Employment and Vocational Training is responsible for the development and implementation of the Government's policy on employment, training and professional integration.
As such, it is responsible for:
- The development of employment and vocational training policy; - Studies on the evolution of employment and the labor market;
- Studies on the evolution of job qualifications;
- Promotion of employment;
- The definition of training and professional integration programs in conjunction with the Administrations and Bodies concerned;
- The definition of standards for the organization of learning and professional qualification systems and the control of their application;
- The design and organization of short cycle training activities;
- Orientation and placement of the workforce;
- Organizing and monitoring the professional integration of young people trained;
- The organization of recycling or requalification activities for workers in activity and those who have lost their jobs;
- Monitoring the adequacy of job training;
- Relations with companies and professional organizations in liaison with the sectoral ministerial departments concerned;
- Monitoring and control of vocational training structures in conjunction with the relevant Ministerial Departments.
It monitors the activities of intervention agencies in terms of job prospecting.
He exercises supervision over the National Employment Fund (FNE).
