Lietuvos Respublikos muitinė/Lithuanian Customs is a section of the Ministry of Finance and also part of the European Union's customs system.
This government agency is responsible for overseeing foreign trade and contributing to the promotion of fair and transparent trade, the functioning of the European Union internal market, common commercial policy and other general trade-related policies of the European Union.
Its network consists of the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania, the Customs Criminal Service, the Customs Training Center, the Customs Laboratory, the Customs Information Systems Center and three territorial customs offices in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda.
