Parava is a commune in Bacău County, Romania that is comprised of four villages – Parava (the seat of the commune), Drăgușani, Rădoaia and Teiuș.
The Parava commune in its current form dates from 1956, as a result of its central location compared to the other villages and it falls within the administrative territory of Bacău county.
The main economic function of the commune is agriculture. Several family associations operate in the commune, 21 companies are involved in the sale of goods and 29 authorized individuals provide a wide range of activities and services including milling, construction, carpentry and furniture making, blacksmithing, tailoring, etc.
