Description
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organization that assists people who have been forced to abandon their homes. NRC provides assistance to meet immediate humanitarian needs, prevent further displacement and contribute to lasting solutions. Its operations have expanded throughout Africa, America, South America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. During a crisis, the NRC strives to defend the rights of displaced and vulnerable individuals. NRC also works in specific sectors such as education, counseling and legal assistance, livelihoods and food security, shelter and settlements, and sanitation. As a result of its activities, in 2020, NRC assisted more than 11 million people in need across 34 countries.
