The Argentine Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries is a government agency responsible for the development and implementation of production, marketing and health plans for agriculture, fisheries, forestry.
Until 2008, the head of this department was the secretary of the Ministry of Economy. On October 1, 2009, this department was elevated to the rank of a ministry by the decree of President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, who appointed Julian Dominguez as the first minister. Since December 10, 2011, the head of the ministry is Norberto Yahar, former Deputy Minister of Dominguez.
