Description
UNHCR’s work in Côte d’Ivoire focuses on humanitarian activities and strengthening protection for refugees, returnees and stateless people.
Besides helping voluntary repatriation, UNHCR emphasizes the protection of vulnerable refugees and the provision of shelter, livelihoods and documentation, as well the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence.
UNHCR, in partnership with the government of Cote d’Ivoire, is dedicated to protecting the rights of stateless people, as well as eradicating statelessness by 2024.
