Oxfam exists for a very simple reason – because poverty and injustice are unacceptable.
Oxfam New Zealand is part of a global organisation that has been dedicated to working with poor communities for over 60 years.
We believe in the power of people to change the world. Together we can address the root causes of inequality and injustice and help people lift themselves out of poverty.
Oxfam New Zealand's work is made possible by a network of people committed to Oxfam's vision, including supporters, interns, staff, volunteers, board and overseas partners.
Most of our staff is based in our Auckland office. We also have a policy unit in Wellington and two field offices in Papua New Guinea. Our active group of interns and volunteers assist us in organising events and actions, or come into our offices to help out.
