Description

The Head of Mission is the Ambassador.

According to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of April 18, 1961 ,
the functions of the Embassy are, among others, to:

· Represent Italy in Lebanon;

Protect the interests of Italy and its citizens, within the limits allowed by international law;

· Negotiate with the Lebanese government;

· Inquire, by any lawful means, on the conditions and evolution of events in Lebanon;

· Promote friendly relations and develop economic, cultural and scientific relations between Italy and Lebanon.
