Description
The United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is a public-private partnership established by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the financial sector. The Initiative brings together more than 200 members among the leaders of banks, investment funds, and insurance companies.
UNEP FI aims to promote better application of the principles of sustainable development at all operational levels in financial institutions by integrating environmental, social and government (ESG) factors into risk analyzes.
UNEP FI is known for having created and developed the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), which now have more than 900 signatories.
