The focus of the minister's activities is the fulfillment of the government's health policy tasks. In doing so, it manages, coordinates and organizes the health care system, the scientific research activities affecting the sector and manages the National Health Insurance Fund ( OEP ). It defines public health and public health tasks, manages, among other things, the public health program aimed at preventing diseases, tasks related to health preservation, the State Public Health and Medical Officer Service ( ÁNTSz), the national competent bodies of health care and the national institutes .
