General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic is responsible for:

• to assist the President of the Republic in the formulation of strategic choices of the Nation's policy and the monitoring of its implementation;
• to monitor government activity on behalf of the President of the Republic;
• to prepare the decisions of the President of the Republic by providing him with regular and complete information on the action of the Government, on the progress of the Administration and on the situation of the country;
• to verify the regularity of the acts submitted for the signature of the President of the Republic;
• to ensure the preparation of the correspondence of the President of the Republic intended for the institutions of the Republic, the administrations and the foreign authorities;
• to ensure the application of the decisions of the President of the Republic;
• to manage the relations of the President of the Republic with the other constitutional institutions, the Mediator of the Republic and the Auditor General;
• ensure the administrative and financial management of the services of the Presidency of the Republic.
