UNICEF in Iceland is the Icelandic National Committee of the United Nations Children's Fund.
UNICEF is a world leader in helping children. We fight for the rights of all children and provide both long-term development and emergency assistance. We are in the field in over 190 countries and our guiding principle is that children enjoy welfare - wherever they are.
According to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, all children are born with inalienable rights. However, not all children enjoy them. We want to change this. UNICEF believes that a healthy childhood and a decent life are the rights of all children.
