The Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport plans and prepares state laws that are dealt with and passed by the state parliament - the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. It applies federal and state laws and European law, controls their implementation and controls this process through its various authorities. Support, advice and financial support for citizens, social institutions, businesses and companies are becoming increasingly important for the ministry's work. Today, the ministry is a partner in meeting legal standards, and it initiates and promotes voluntary services in the country.
