The treatment of the furture is personalised for the individual patient. That is called personalised medicine. In the National Genome Center we work to support that doctors and researchers, can develop personalised treatments, by using knowledge about patients’ genes and the cause of illness.
The National Genome Center is an agency under the Ministry of Health and is tasked with developing and running Denmark's national infrastructure for personalized medicine.
In collaboration with the most skilled experts, we at the National Genome Center are developing a new, national use of data in investigation, diagnosis and development of personalized medicine for all Danes. We collect data on the Danes' genomes in a secure supercomputer, make it available to doctors, researchers and patients and promote new knowledge about personalized medicine at home and abroad.
