Chief Sanitary Inspectorate ( GIS ) - a central government administration office with its seat in Warsaw, functioning since January 1, 2000. The Office is headed by the Chief Sanitary Inspector, appointed by the prime minister at the request of the minister of health. Mission: We supervise and create activities aimed at the well-being and public health of citizens. Our task is to minimize the effects of events adversely affecting the lives of Poles - we inform, activate and educate.
