Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal

The Maharashtra Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM) is a government agency dedicated to women's development throughout the Indian state of Maharashtra. MAVIM is the state level nodal agency to implement development programs/schemes by the central and state government across Maharashtra. The organization is responsible to converge with Government Departments, Financial Institutions, NGOs, and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to achieve inclusive development.

The core focus is to organize women through SHGs to build their overall capacity, by providing them with employment and livelihood opportunities and also, by enhancing their self-confidence. For this purpose, MAVIM relies on the four pillars of Grassroots Institution Building, Micro Finance Services, Livelihood and Enterprise Development, Women Empowerment and Social Equity.
