Ecociudad Zaragoza Sociedad Anonima / Ecocity Zaragoza

The Government of Zaragoza on December 28, 2012 agreed to confer the powers of management of the sanitation and wastewater purification services of Zaragoza to the public capital company Ecociudad Zaragoza SA, it's objectives are:

• Manage and execute any urban infrastructure actions or services in Zaragoza.
• Manage and execute the construction of equipment necessary for the previous action.
• Carrying out all activities related to planning, programming, project and research, training, advice, construction, exploitation, maintenance and management of water resources and services in all phases of the water cycle corresponding to evacuation, discharge, sewage , sanitation, purification, elimination and recycling of liquid waste and sludge, being able to establish and develop any industries and businesses that are instrumental, complementary or accessory to the related activities.
• The execution and/or direction of any work that is necessary for the maintenance, replacement, improvement, installation or reading of household water meters until reaching the best state of the art.
• The execution of all works, projects and technical and economic studies that are necessary for the provision of the services indicated in the preceding sections, including the management of billing and collection of fees for the provision of the service.
