To implement a rational Lithuanian fisheries policy, based on the provisions of the common fisheries policy of the European Union, at all stages of the production, processing and sale of marine fishery products; to carry out monitoring, control and prevention of violations of vessels fishing in the Baltic Sea and distant fishing regions; protect, restore and increase fish stocks in state inland water bodies.
