Introduction:
SOCO has established in 2016 and it has been registered as an NGO in Ministry of Economics of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on 24/08/2016 with the registration number 3962. The organization was established by a number of social workers in Badakhshan and Herat provinces of Afghanistan to help the Afghan needy and deprived people to have access to sustainable livelihood and income generating jobs to be able to fulfill the needs of their families particularly the access of children to school. In addition SOCO aims to help the children, women, and adults, who do not have access to the any of service such health, education and relief services in target provinces through addressing the gender based violence and discrimination, child marriage, child labor and deprivation from basic services. In order to empower the women, men SOCO provides livelihood and protection services to make sure that all rights of the target beneficiaries are protected. To achieve this goal, SOCO provides a multi-faceted livelihood approach including establishment of self-help groups, small and medium size enterprise, entrepreneurship, micro business support provision for those who have marketable skills and provision of vocational training for those who have no marketable skills in SOCO vocational training centers.

Despite valuable achievement of the government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with the support of international community in providing basic services for all Afghan citizens, accomplishment of large development programs and significant economic growth as well as positive enhancement of the country in confronting against corruption, but there all lots of gaps and needs which need to be addressed appropriately. 56% Afghans are living poverty line, in addition Afghanistan is the one of countries with the highest young population and high birth rate, but job opportunities due to corruption, armed conflict, and poor support of the government from private sector, is by no means good which forced
thousands of Afghan youths to seek job outside the country with very poor condition and wage. Stabilization of the economy, harmonization of the socio-economic development need investment in small and med size enterprises and producers inside the country to provide job opportunities for
Domestic work force and reduce poverty which foster the better family well-being, better education, healthy live and cheers.
