Kuřim is a town in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 11,000 inhabitants. It is the most populated town of Brno-Country District.
Kuřim is located about 12 kilometres (7 mi) north of Brno. It lies in the Bobrava Highlands, the eastern part of the municipal territory extends into the Drahany Highlands. The highest point is the hill Kuřimská hora with an elevation of 435 metres (1,427 ft). The town is situated at the confluence of streams Kuřimka and Luční.
