WWF's mission is to stop the degradation of the environment on our planet and build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.
To achieve this, together with a number of our partners are working on the conservation of biodiversity and reducing human impact on natural habitats. Our attention is focused on the preservation of strategic key regions and key species which are of great importance for their habitat or people.
Also we are working to reduce the ecological footprint of humanity - the amount of land and natural resources that are essential to our food supply, water, fiber and timber, as well as the absorption of carbon dioxide that is released into the atmosphere due to the many human activities.
It's not about distancing people from nature. It is not about returning to the past. It is not about preventing the development of the country or community.
Already it comes to finding practical solutions for a healthy planet.
Planet at which current and future generations be enabled shared progress of humankind and nature in a stable environment.
