About
Architect and regional planner (Msc Regional Planning) with over 15 years international experience in urban resilience. She provides shelter coordination support in Latin America and the Caribbean with the Global Shelter Cluster and is part of the Canadian Red Cross. Before joining the Red Cross Movement, she was an advisor with the city council of La Paz, Bolivia, her home city, she worked with Habitat for Humanity, the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre and for about 8 years with the United Nations, as part of the assistance mission in Afghanistan, the UNDP, the Climate Change Secretariat and later with UN-Habitat headquarters in Kenya, where she managed projects to enhance the capacities of urban practitioners in urban mobility, planning, housing and climate change adaptation. Areas of expertise include climate change adaptation, urban planning, disaster risk reduction, capacity development and housing.
Fluent in Spanish, English and French. Working knowledge of German.
