About
I am a results focused person. I am motivated by achieving objectives, while always maintaining the quality of my work. I enjoy setting and achieving challenging goals, and overcoming obstacles to reach my ambitions. I constantly seek to improve my performance.
I have worked for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for more than two years. During this period, I have made significant contributions to a number of projects. As a core member working for the annual reporting of decentralized offices, I was involved in the development of an integrated reporting tool that streamlines major control and evaluation processes. This tool has successfully reduced the reporting burden on decentralized offices while improving analysis and monitoring of FAO’s performance in the field.
I have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. My professional experience includes developing close working relationships with colleagues located in decentralized offices and organizing a range of work meetings.
Working for the office that is in charge of supporting decentralized offices, I have strengthened my ability to work in a team to achieve shared goals, delivering the support required and sharing knowledge and ideas with colleagues in a constructive way.
I have an important functional knowledge that can contribute to my ability to produce accurate analytical work. Through my work experience at the Institute of Sociology at the RWTH Aachen-University I became adept at using the statistical Program SPSS.
Working at FAO and IFAD within their field support units, I have developed and applied my critical and analytical skills in response to various needs and problems faced by the field offices.
I have a professional outlook and set high standards for my own work. I always seek to respond to people promptly. I value an honest and ethical approach. I have a great sense of fairness, which I apply not only to my personal but also to my professional life. This sense of integrity has only increased while working for the United Nations, where my objective is to use limited public money in the most cost-effective way possible. Furthermore, working in this environment has increased my ability to be vigilant against corrupt practices.
