About
A licensed Professional Engineer with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources Engineering (Irrigation major). Had 23 years’ practical experience in Planning, Development and Management of Water Resources, Sanitation and Hygiene and Infrastructures. Published three articles in reputable professional journals.
Worked increasingly with government and none government (NGO) and private sector organizations in Ethiopia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone. Created access to water supply, sanitation service and assests to over 2.0 million people through leading the designed and implemented of various integrated Water, Sanitation – Hygiene and Infrastructure programs. Managed and led programs with annual average budget of Euro 7 million. Designed projects ranging from a small scale low cost (hand dug well) to a high tech (ground water and surface water development) with a pipe network of 147 km serving over 126,000 from single sources (see details in this CV).
Established standard quality frameworks and monitoring system to ensure quality, equitable resource utilization and sustainability of programs. Led action researches, diagnostic studies in communities, participatory baseline survey, humanitarian need assessment and response plan development processes.
