About
As a recent graduate of Anthropology from Cal Poly Pomona, I am highly motivated to utilize the education I earned in a professional setting. My aim is to work in a socially conscious and responsible environment that allows me to provide assistance to those in need. I am very passionate about volunteering and lending a helping hand whenever possible. I have 11 years in girl scouting experience where I was responsible for city-wide event planning, fundraising, and leading large groups of girls in activities and camp settings. I was also one of the founding members of my high school’s first basketball team, at a time when physical education was not a requirement in schools for girls in Saudi Arabia. I was an assistant leader for a girl scout troop of 25 girls ages 4-6 and have received my leadership in training certification for girl scouting. After moving to the U.S for college, I have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, the Prisoner Education Project at Cal Poly, as well as multiple faith based fundraising and community service events. Over the summer of 2017, I volunteered at two orphanages in Kathmandu, Nepal, and in the summer of 2018, I spent 3 weeks studying abroad in South Korea. Most recently, I was able to volunteer in a small town on Java Timur, Indonesia for 3 weeks followed by 3 weeks of volunteer work for a NGO in Naples Italy that focused on refugee resettlement.
