Katy Anís is committed to building human capacity across the lifespan. Over the last 32 years, Katy Anís has travelled, lived, or worked across43 countries, and provided technical assistance/oversight to over95 initiatives and projects.  She has a strong history in funding and resourcing of development initiatives, having worked within: philanthropy; direct support to angel investors and high-net-worth individuals; within the bilateral donor space; with multilaterals; in leadership of raising a venture capitalimpact fund; across mission-driven implementers, within grassroots faith-based activism, and through initiating her own philanthropic organization and private sector firm. Over her career, she has managed a total of $24 million USD in development funds and has raised $10.5 million USD in new funding for projects.  In philanthropy, she has issued funding for 15 grants and 7 initiatives and managed a portfolio of 40 grants. Her broad exposure across the ecosystems of funding streams and her deep engagement in innovative finance and blended finance prepares her to develop innovative, comprehensive investment solutions. 

She has extensive experience in programming forchildren, youth and adults in adversity for over 30 years in: multi-sectoral programming, early childhood, education, gender, violence prevention, social protection, economic development, youth, workforce development/ livelihoods, health, mental health, justice, violence prevention, social emotional development, gender, character development, policy and advocacy. She has worked across the life course, from early childhood through youth to adult ages. 

She cultivates a specialization at nexus of holistic human development and movement of capital. She is dedicated to nurturing of capacityacross teams, organizations and through field-building and is adept at convening diverse thought leaders around common goals. She brings a versatile perspective, having provided technical services to foundations, multilateral institutions, bilateral donors, governments, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, inter-agency bodies, faith-based entities and grassroots community-based organizations.

She has extensive experience across Africa, Latin America & Asia, and language aptitude in: Farsi/Dari/Tajiki, Amharic, Spanish, Portuguese, Esperanto, and some French and Nepali literacy.

This broad spectrum of experience allows her to connect the dots across portfolios, sectors, geographies, and ecosystem actors to develop coherent, holistic solutions to the globe’s challenges.
