I have 6 years’ experience leading complex emergency and resilience WASH Programs, peace building and reconciliation programs having served senior level position in various sub offices in Somalia. I am currently overseeing two Unicef WASH resilience programs targeting schools and health institution as well vulnerable community members (IDPs/Host community) in south central Somalia. During this time, I have gained significant knowledge in ensuring program implementation process is of high quality and respond to the immediate needs of the affected population using a strong protection lens (regarding to IDPs, PWSN, Minority and children) as well as ensured the program activities are executed as per the design, scheduled and agreed timeline with the Donor. My career accomplishments and expertise includes; providing technical leadership and management to both Nutrition and WASH programs, proposals Development and program strategies(Kenya/Somalia mission), preparing of strategic and operations plan, strong budget development and expenditure tracking, capacity building of program staffs, conducting of appraisals/interview for project staffs, effective participation of national and donor meeting, developing of cogent program reports (internal and Donor report), clear documentation/record, prepared as well as draw realistic and effective project work plan while ensuring total implementation in close collaboration with Head of Program and Head of Mission in Somalia. I have also had training on CLTS-Unicef, Personal safety training-INSO, Water testing-SWALIM, Financial Training-PAH, DRR training-PAH and among so many other trainings related to WASH sector.

Further, I have interacted well with individuals of diverse background, having coached, and supervised the work of Project officers, Assistants as my direct reports, I have had hands-on experience working with multiple donors including: UNICEF,SHF,USAID/OFDA, SHF, ECHO, DFID, EC, OFDA, SSF and UNHCR among others in addition experienced, working in a hostile, insecure and volatile regions of south/central Somalia(including Bay, Bakool and Hiran) with sound knowledge of the humanitarian, political, social and cultural context.
