Mr. Azad is a Management Consultant at Reed Consultancy, Bangladesh (RCB) - a Dhaka based sustainability consulting firm since 2006 serving international development agencies in acquiring insights and implementing action plans on/around sustainability. He plays an expert role in projects of climate finance, impact investment, private sector development, organizational development and environmental management - some key areas to build sustainability in firm, industry and society. Notable organization Azad served are GCPF (Global Climate Partnership Fund), Canadian High Commission, ZDHC (Zero Discharge Hazardous Chemical), KfW (German state-owned investment and development bank), GIZ (German development agency) etc.
By starting career in 2006 as an intern with Sanofi, a pharmaceutical company, Azad conducted a critical study on pharma's supply chain to review its distribution quality in reference to UKMHRA - GDP. Then he joined in the entry level mangement position (Officer) at business sales vertical in Grameenphone, telecommunication company having 100 million+ client base in Bangladesh. From 2009 to 2017 he served IDLC, the largest non-banking financial service company in Bangladesh at various capacities in its SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) vertical to manage relationship, sales, credit, operation and products. Since mid 2017 to till 2020 he worked as Head of Product, Proposition and Specialized Business for MSME (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprise) at Prime Bank - Dhaka based private commercial bank having foot print in 146 different location and a capital base over BDT 300 Billion.
He attained MBA from Institute of Business Administration at University of Dhaka in 2006 and B. Sc. (Hons.) in Forestry from Institute of Forestry and Environmental Sciences at University of Chittagong in 2003.
