·    International development expert with substantial WASH experience in emergencies for over 19 years and advanced academic training in public health, program management and international affairs.

·      WASH Emergency Focal Point for UNICEF Democratic Republic of the Congo, UNICEF’s largest office in the world and one of the organization’s most complex and comprehensive WASH program globally. Extensive hands-on experience with complex emergencies in political sensitive environments, including massive population displacements of refugees and IDPs, disease outbreaks (Ebola, measles, cholera, and COVID-19), and natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and volcano eruptions.

·      Extensive experience responding to emergencies from situation analysis, field response, sector/cluster coordination, project design and M&E, proposal writing, donor relations, advocacy, and reporting. Deep familiarity with all aspects of UNICEF’s WASH emergency response management and our core commitments for children.

·      Substantial fundraising track record, with over $20 million per year raised on average for WASH emergency response in the DRC, enabling UNICEF’s largest WASH team in the world across 11 Field Offices to respond to acute and protracted emergencies.

·      Significant experience with WASH Cluster Coordination at both regional and national levels, with expertise in coordination, monitoring and evaluation for emergency preparedness and response, as well as Nexus-transition and climate change adaptation/mitigation.
