a) Over 18 years of experience in designing implementing, monitoring and evaluation of agricultural development programmes .
b) Over 15 years of experience in food security & nutrition programmes (including activities aimed at raising agricultural production and yields).
c) Successfully accomplished 3 assignments in implementing, monitoring and/or evaluating subsidy programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa.
d) Over 8 years of working experience in implementing, monitoring and/or evaluating Farm Input Subsidy Program (FISP) in Malawi.
e) Fluent in English (excellent in writing, reading and speaking).
f) Fluent in Chichewa (as it is a mother tongue).
g) Strong management skills; managed agri-business, agriculture extension methods, gender and HIV/AIDS program, food and nutrition departments.
h) Vast experience in leading, coordinating, managing, implementing field activities and successful completing assignments and projects.
i) Well experienced and skilled in conducting scooping and diagnostic studies and successfully completed European Commission two assignments on mapping agriculture research and development of exit strategy for Rural Infrastructure Development Program (RIDP).
j) Competent and adequate experience in use of qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection and analysis including: sampling, desegregation of data, structured and semi-structured interviewing, focus group discussions, and observation and triangulation research methods.
k) Strong analytical, communication, writing and reporting skills demonstrated in report writing, annual report writing and research reports.
l) Excellent organizational skills.
m) Development project Management skills; planned, implemented, monitored and evaluated action research projects.
n) Facilitation skills; facilitated agricultural extension trainings in Ministry of agriculture and Food Security.
o) International rural development and policy analysis skills.
p) Intimate knowledge of participatory planning and facilitation methodologies working with a variety of stakeholders to develop agriculture development programmes addressing food security, rural poverty and sustainable livelihoods.
q) Extensive experience in project cycle management including the use of the logical framework for managing and implementing projects involving the participation of different stakeholders on international, national and local level.
r) Solid drafting skills, including reports, policy briefs, position papers and cooperation programmes.
