Assistant to the Advisor for Tourism Policy:
● Develop project proposals and implementation plans for projects, including, the development of the National Tourism Policy, Sport Tourism Master Plan, Trinidad Theatre District and the Tourism In Me video advertising campaign.
● Utilize project management tools such as logical frameworks and Gantt Charts to monitor and manage project implementation
● Prepare research briefs, position papers, business cases and speeches on topics such as the sharing economy, sargassum in the Caribbean, and sport tourism.
● Conduct research in support of and review Legislative Bills.
● Represent the Ministry on the Project Advisory Committee for the UNDP Project entitled “Capacity Development for Improved
Management of Multilateral Environmental Agreements for Global Environmental Benefits”.
● Coordinate meetings with approximately 50 Government Ministries, State agencies and private sector bodies for the
development of the National Tourism Policy.
● Prepare Rapporteur’s Reports for stakeholder consultations conducted throughout Trinidad on the National Tourism Policy.
● Assist in developing and executing a nation-wide online survey.
● Conduct quality assurance reviews for Ministry projects.
● Conduct interviews with Regional Corporations.
● Deliver presentations on various research topics and projects.
